He was the caretaker of Al-Anwar Sarang Islamic Boarding School, Rembang and served as Chair of the United Development Party's Syariah Council until he died [2]. He has been a member of the Rembang Regency DPRD for 7 years.
After the end of his tenure, he began to concentrate on managing his boarding school.
But apparently his energy and thoughts were still needed by the state so he was appointed as a member of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Central Java delegation for three periods.
