The Indonesian Islamic community is generally very familiar with the habaib (plural of habib), many of whom are assumed to have a relationship with the Prophet Muhammad.
The love of Muslims towards the habaib can be understood because the Prophet. himself suggested to pray for his family and descendants.
Descendants of the Prophet. which is widely known to Indonesian Muslims, usually from the sons of Fatimah and Ali ibn Talib. Indonesian people often generalize it with the nickname habib, without distinguishing whether they are descendants of Hasan or Hussein.
Although in the Middle East the descendants of Hasan are distinguished as syarif, while the descendants of Hussein are known as sayyid. But the naming difference is not a problem considering that both of these lines are still the descendants of the Prophet.
